Circle of Fifths

The Circle of Fifths is a fundamental tool in music theory that shows the relationships between the 12 different keys in Western music. It's arranged in a circle where each key is separated by an interval of a perfect fifth (seven semitones).

How to Use:

  • Select a key to see its relationships with other keys
  • Click on any key to hear how it sounds with the selected key
  • Outer circle shows major keys
  • Inner circle shows relative minor keys

Key Features:

  • Color-coded functional relationships (I, IV, V, etc.)
  • Shows relative minor keys for each major key
  • Interactive audio playback for interval comparison
  • Displays chord function in the selected key
